Christmas Day - 2011

(At Kathy and Larry's house.)

The Wrisley clan Christmas photo, 2011

Here we are,Barbara and John, seated,  the antiquities of the family observing our 65th Christmas together. . .63 as husband and wife.

Let's begin with the back row:  Standing just under the star at left is grandson John Eric.  Next to him (the fellow in glasses) is his father, Jimmy.  Next, the tall fellow with the beard - our grandson Ellys.  Taller still, because she's standing on a riser, is our youngest g'child Jennie, Ellys's sister.  The really tall girl (same riser) with the long dark hair is our granddaughter Jamie.  Her father, Larry, is the fellow with the graying beard.  He built the beautiful log home in which this photo was taken.  Partially hidden is grandson Mark.  The pretty girl just in front of him is his friend Laurel.  The fellow with the glasses is our oldest son, David, and his wife Diana is at his side framing the right-hand side of the photo.  The really, really tall guy behind them is our grandson Dustin.  He is not standing on a riser!

To the front row:  Our grandson Copeland.  Next, his mother (our daughter) Judy.  Kayla, in scarf and red sweater, just married Ellys in November.  The dark-haired fellow behind Barbara is Todd, father of the little fellow who is Rhys - our great grandson.  Rhys's mom is the blond lady, our eldest grandchild, Keegan.  The fellow peering at us from behind Keegan (moustache/beard) is David, husband of Jamie.  Kathy, our daughter, peeps at us from between Keegan and Kathy's sister, Karen - who is our oldest child.  And - in checkered shirt - our son George.

Four members of the family were missing - - Kannon and Barbara, our grandchildren, and George's wife Katherine plus Karen's husband, Bobby.  They were faced with being two places at once and just couldn't manage it.

Kathy and Larry were our hosts this year and it was a wonderful day!!

Four Generations

Always a highlight for his great-grandparents is a visit from Rhys, who lives in Rhode Island with his parents.  He'll be four in February.

Seated behind Rhys is Barbara, his great-grandmother.  The blonde lady is his mom, Keegan.  His grandmother is Karen, who has spied an intruder making his way down the chimney.
